The Halo 3 Beta came out today. Millions of excited fans have been waiting for this day.
Some of the main highlights of the game will include new weapons, such as the Spike Grenade and Bubble Shield.
Also, there will be the long-awaited return of the Assault Rifle.
There will be three maps available, and a new vehicle called the Mongoose.

To keep the excitement, Microsoft will only showcase a few things in the beta, which will last until June 7th.
Once the beta is over, they will take the input / feedback they recieved and see how they can change the game a little.
Also, they plan to polish the graphics (which currently appear to not be up to par with a majority of 360 games.

If you do not have a Halo 3 Beta key and want to get one, pick up a copy of Crackdown, as it comes with one.

GM_PrettyGirl has made her appearance as ijji GUNZ Staff today, and came with an awesome event for you all.

Event date: May 9 2007 thru May 20 2007
Event time: 1pm to 6pm PDT (3pm-8pm CDT) on weekdays, 9am to 12pm PDT (11am to 2pm CDT) on weekends.

As noted on the announcement, the event has three sub-events going on (and you can participate in all of them):
1st part: Spend a minimum of 300 ij (ijji e-currency) to recieve a free 30-day Sir Protector set. The set gender is determined by the highest-level character’s gender.

2nd part: Players to complete a quest using Torn Page 13 will get a 15-day Enia’s coin. Completing Torn Page 41 gets you 15-day Giston’s coin, and if anyone uses the boss combinations and gets to one of the new bosses (Aneramon the Wicked or Lich [the Dragon]) will recieve 3 30-day coins - Enia’s Coin (water/ice), Giston’s Coin (earth/poison), and Windscar’s coin (wind/electricity).

3rd part: Anyone who plays in the given time period of the event will get a chance to win one of the following items:
First prize - Rare GUNZ game guide (3 winners)
Second prize - A GUNZ t-shirt (50 winners)
Third prize - A GUNZ poster (100 winners)

And so you know, the new game is called “Fiesta Online”. It’s the official north american localization of Shine Online / Bright Kingdom, by Aragon Networks.

Here are the estimated system requirements for Fiesta CBT (Closed Beta Testing). Expect it to be these or very close to these.

CPU: Intel Pentium 3 (1.0GHz) or equivalent
Memory: 512MB RAM and at least 1.5GB HDD Space
Graphics: Onboard 3D Accelerator with 64MB memory using DirectX version 9.0c

OS: Windows2000, WindowsXP
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent

Don’t expect to see Mac in there for sure; I talked with some of the staff about these requirements and they have not verified that Mac OS will support Fiesta.

Today is 05/06/07! *rolls eyes*

Tuesday is the day I take my AP Computer Science exam. It’s three hours long and will be a major pain in the #$%!. Luckily it’s mostly multiple-choice, as I’m not very enthralled knowing I’ll have to do pencil-and-paper programming. Yuck.

In other news, if you haven’t played Rounder’s Poker, you’re missing out on one of the greatest poker games around. It’s an online version of Texas Hold’em, and… there’s too much to explain here. See for yourself.
You even get to win free stuff without spending any real money! How cool is that?

ASIDE from that, you only need to provide information when you win (eg, your shipping address) an auction. So, nothing to worry about, you paranoids.

GUNZ The Duel, an MMOFPS (Massive-Multiplayer Online First-Person Shooter) game has been updated today with a lot of new features.
There are new Quest Bosses - Aneramon the Wicked (the giant four-handed monster that can summon lightning) and Lich (the dragon who flies overhead and spews fire). MAIET also included new narration sound effects which were recorded in a studio here in the United States, as well as redone sword, human, and monster (goblin/skeleton) sound effects.

Coming soon will be the almighty Palmpow god and the Kobold / Prison quest set, as well as new music to listen to in GUNZ!

ijji has also changed the launcer UI, which [in my opionion] looks a lot cooler now.

Today, I uploaded a modified version one of my most favorite games of all time - Super Mario Brothers on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). This modded version isn’t for little kids. It takes a lot of skill to beat the levels. There are some videos on Youtube and Google Video of people playing it, and the ROM source is scarce.
This is your lucky break! I’ve gotten a copy of the edited ROM and hosted it for everyone to enjoy the pain of playing it.
